Target

The Image and Imagine Foundation for Culture and Arts aims to chronicle the development of Taiwan via images. Lead by Khan Lee, we hope that we can visualize historical contexts and probe into the past, present, and future of Taiwan, so that we can further push forward Chinese historical culture, bring together talented people from fields of the academics, documentaries, and movie-making, enrich the entire creative industry, popularize exhibitions and arts performances, and develop cultural education.
We produced from 2008 the Docudrama “Attabu" with the high production value standards of movie-making, recording the easily forgotten history of the Wufeng Lin Family, and, in 2015, we released the sequel of “Attabu”. In the process of doing this, we realized that in our creative industries nowadays, people tend to ignore the originality and importance of culture. When it comes to knowing our own stories, who but us should take on this responsibility? But more than this, we should also be able to tell our tale with an objective and diverse point of view. So that our culture could pass on, so that our creative industry could flourish… for these reasons, we founded this foundation. We have been devoting ourselves to provide the younger generation with more cultural nutrition, to allow those critical images to take root in our education and daily life.
Talented people from all sorts of fields converge here: aside from producing movies, we will also attempt to produce theatrical works. We hope we can stay creative, and give the world works that are both informative and entertaining. Via images, we can transform obscure historical contexts to readable, enjoyable works, so that stories from Taiwan can influence the world. Via imagination, we broaden peoples’ horizons, paving ways through this gigantic world.
